Yoga Classes

MONDAYS w/ MICHELE LAWRENCE 5:30 PM to 6:45 PM
$11.00 drop in
Monday class at Pathways lives on! My friend and teacher Michele Lawrence will be teaching this class, starting Monday, January 19th with myself (Cara Bessko) substituting when she is out of town. If you have any further questions, Michele's email is:
Michele Lawrence has been practicing yoga since 2000 and has studied various yoga styles. She believes that all yoga can teach you something, if you allow yourself to be open to it. Yoga is self-exploration and postures can be a metaphor for challenging life situations. By practicing and breathing, the poses can shed light and offer insight on those situations. Michele is a graduate of the New Jersey-based Devalila Yoga Teacher Training, a registered 200-hour level training with the Yoga Alliance. Devalila (meaning "Divine Play") blends the physical and spiritual, and does so playfully. In February 2009, Michele will complete her 300-hour certification in Yoga Therapy from Ananada Seva in California. Yoga therapy adapts the practice of Yoga to the needs of people with specific or persistent health problems not usually addressed in a group class. Contact Michele to find out more about individual Yoga Therapy sessions.
* During times of bad weather be sure to call to confirm that yoga classes are not cancelled.

Cara Bessko R.Y.T. is a certified Hatha Yoga teacher, trained to teach children and adults. She started her training in Pittsburgh, PA with Yoga H'OM owner and instructor Donna Dyer, and furthers her Yoga education when and wherever she can! Yoga brought an intensely positive shift into her life from the moment she took her first class. Cara enjoys seeing her students walk out of class feeling and looking better than when they walked in. Remembering that Yoga makes us all better human beings first and foremost, Cara encourages students to take their practice off the mat and into real life in any way big or small. Her class is always meant to be attainable for any student on any level of their practice. Fun is essential with a focus on stress management, learning how to breathe deep, and LETTING IT GO!
